We loved it. On our first afternoon the children played endlessly on the beach just 70 paces away (I counted them), my wife enjoyed watching them with a cup of home-brewed tea and I went off to explore the village.

We stayed in Strand House and had the annexe in late April 2009. The location is fantastic. The Cottage is lovely, well appointed, clean and equipped with absolutely everything you need in the Kitchen, with lots of games and books for the evenings. There is an excellent childrens play area just a few hundred yards away and lots of good walks. There were special touches like a loaf of fresh bread when we arrived. Really great service i wouldnt hestiate to book again.

6 VERY WET BIKERS FROM NEWCASTLE ( and Manchester! )
We arrived at Strand House 15th May, soaked to the skin! what greeted us was the most fantastic cottage, it felt like home straight away, you need bring nothing but yourself! McBrides bar is very welcoming, the food is great ( and Guiness ). I asked the question ' when do you close' the answer was when do you want to leave!!! There is a good shop that is open until 8 pm that sells everything, an excellent cafe too. The village is outstanding, very clean and quiet, Strand house itself is is an idylic location just off the main road ( well country lane ! ), its a 5 min walk to the village centre, fantastic views out to sea from the bedroms, oil fired heating system is great, get the log fire blazing and you're in paradise. If you want peace & quiet and to be surrounded with natures finest, this is the place, good for familes , groups & couples.

We arrived and were greeted by dolphins in the bay. Great way to start a holiday. A great house in lovely beachside location. Near enough to the village for everything you need. Great for couples or a family. 5 star
